800 traction angles offer 360 degree traction from tee to green in this sophisticated golf shoe from ECCO. ECCO is a European shoe company founded in Denmark in 1963. Today they own and operate factories throughout Europe and Asia. They produce all the leather used in making Ecco shoes, taking measures to protect the environment at the same time. Their sole aim is to make a comfortable walking shoe.
I really love the look of this shoe and was very much looking forward to receiving them BUT they run narrow in the toe and do not feel like they would be comfortable for being on your feet and walking a lot. I really really wanted to keep these based on style, but you can't really sacrifice comfort. I ordered both size 38 and 39. I always were a size 8 sneaker. My feet are slightly wider in the toe area, but my feet are not considered wide at all and the size 38 were a snug fit. I tried wearing them around the house a bit to see if they would loosen up, although I don't feel that one should have to, and they just shouldn't have such a "fitted" feel. The size 39 felt better in width but were visibly too large for my feet, provided too much room in length, with too much extra room north of the toes and in the heel as my foot was slipping. Great looking shoe but comfort is not there, which is why I believe Ecco's website and numerous other online retailers have the $190 shoe marked down to $124. I suppose if you have skinny feet they would work, but I also don't think they are comfortable as far as sole cushioning goes either. Even if they fit me properly, I couldn't see walking much in these comfortably. The Ecco Biom Hybrid Golf Shoe looks much more comfortable, although I have not tried them on. They are also quite a bit more at $190.update: I just went to a store and tried on the Ecco Biom Hybrid Golf and there is no comparison! The Biom Hybrid are very comfortable! I also tried the Nike FI Impact and they were also comfortable and both are SO much more comfortable than the Ecco Tour Hybrid. I ultimately purchased the Nike pair as they were on sale for $79.99 at the store I was in (Golf Galaxy). My advice to those shopping for golf shoes...stay away from the Ecco Tour Hybrid and try the two I just mentioned. Comfort is key! and they look good too. This shoe is an elegant summer style. I'm really getting used to the spikeless variety of golf shoe. For a higher handicapper like me with a slower swing speed, it gives all the traction I need. I play on some very hilly courses and the shoe performs great. I love the fact that I can go into the clubhouse after a round and not worry about wearing my shoes indoors.I'm only giving 3 stars to this shoe due to the fit. I have another pair of Eccos that fit perfectly. I'm a size 8 medium with a moderately wide foot. This shoe is slightly longer and narrower in the toe box than I would like. But wearable. Also it gaps slightly at the arch area when I flex my foot in walking.I'm keeping them but due to the fit wouldn't buy another pair of this style.Update April2015I wear these ALL THE TIME! several of my golf girlfriends have asked where I got them and have also ordered them in different colors. Although they fit a wee bit narrow at the beginning, they have conformed to my foot and now fit perfectly.I normally wear a size 9.5 so I went with the 9/9.5 size and it was too small. These shoes are a bit narrow, but I have narrow feet so that's partly why I ordered them. I've already ordered the size up but from my first pair that I am returning, I can tell it's quality leather and they will be very comfortable once broken in. I'm excited to receive the right size in the mail. They look exactly like the picture. Just beware of the sizing, you might want to order up since they are narrow and sized differently than normal. The shoes are really cute and sassy!!! They are a little stiff so I would no recommend wearing them out for 18 holes for the first time. I usually wear an 8 1/2 so I was a little concerned to buy the 8-8.5 size but they fit great. I know Ecco shoes are really comfortable so I have no doubt once I get them broke in they will be just fine to wear for a whole day.Ecco makes a great shoe. The quality of the design and the execution are both superb. I have a narrow foot and these fit, though I think there's adequate room for an average but not wide foot. I was concerned about fit because some reviewers felt they had to break the shoe in before it was comfortable. I wore them for nine holes the first time. Rubbed a little at the start but they softened by the time I finished nine. Wore them comfortably for eighteen the next day! Great shoe! Great style! Very comfortable! These shoes are very sharp looking and pretty comfortable. I wore them for the first time walking and playing 9 holes. By the 9th hole,I was ready to take them off. The stitching on the top was rubbing my toes...could have been I did not have the right socks on. One thing that I really liked is that since I have a narrow foot they fit my foot well....Like the look of these but they were way too wide for my foot.Somewhat long since I wear a 7 but kept them due to the comfort. Very comfortable and since it is warm on the golf course larger is better than smaller. Nice classic style.Love these golf shoes, first time on, very comfortable and colour goes with every outfit, thank you.Gorgeous. Worth every penny!Placed order the 26th. Received 29th in the United States.I like the softness of the shoe, it's very good has a nice look and feel.Live the style and the fit around the house seems fine. Very soft. Will await to see my level of happiness after a round.
