So far so good. I purchased the new Mizuno Catalyst as a result of an e-mail I received from Mizuno and then read many positive reviews. I do need a stability shoe without it being too heavy. Right out of the box, I ran 8 miles one day and 15 the next, then added another 3 the next day. I am training for a marathon!!! I am very pleased with the way they feel, not a heavy shoe at all. I don't believe they have as much cushion as some others, but all in all a good shoe. I also have been pleased with the amount of stability in the shoe. I would definitely recommend trying this shoe. Everybody is different, so they may work, they may not. So far, I am pleased with this purchase. Oh and I love all the color options!I love the pink/orange color combo, but with my orthotics inserted they pinch across the top of my big toe. Also, it has very minimal amount of cushion, maybe I am just spoiled to the support and cushion of Asics gel nimbus. I was hoping these would feel similar to my mizuno wave creation 13's, but unfortunately that's not the case. I LOVE my wave 13's, I have had them for 6-ish years, maybe longer and I refuse to let them go. The reasons: 1-super support, 2-roomy toebox, and 3-their ORANGE, my favorite color! I can't tell you how difficult it is to find an awesome shoe that is also awesomely orange at the same time. :D Overall a good looking shoe if you don't need a lot of cushion /support, I would describe it as a minimalist running shoe.I'm on my feet at work for long hours so I am always looking for comfortable shoes. I am a big fan of Brooks but I'm not always able to spend 100+ on shoes. I've had great luck with finding Mizuno's on sale for a much more affordable price. These are the third pair of Mizuno's I have gotten and they look and fit great. As far as sizing goes: I wear a size 7 in Brooks but realized after my first pair of Mizuno's that I needed to size up a half size for them to fit properly. My feet are a tad wide in the toe box area and a size 7 in Mizuno's end up pinching by the end of my work shift. I got these in a 7 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I love when I get shoes that I can wear comfortably for the entire duration of my shift and I love these!I paid about 45$ for these and I am happy. They are very comfy and fit as expected (I wear a size 9 and ordered such). I don't know if I got a deal but regardless I like the colors and style. The sole is pretty squishy so I bet when I go running in the spring these will give good support. I have never owned any Mizuno shoes but I would likely buy this brand again. I haven't worn them much so I am not sure how they'll hold up. I will try to update my review in several months to report back on wear and tear. These are comfortable running shoes. Good cushion. Although I am not very particular about colors (they are going to get dirty anyway), I do like the style. However, I bought 1/2 size up as I usually do with Mizunos, but they still felt a little tighter in the toe box than I was hoping. I have purchased the next 1/2 size up and awaiting delivery to see which ones will work the best. I don't want to risk toenail pressure during long runs, but they are certainly fine for <5 miles. These are great overall shoes. The reason for the four stars is due to the lack of arch support.Coming from the Kinvara 4 shoes, these are a bit clunky, and the support is on the outside of the shoes, rather than on the arch side. However, that's not a flaw of the shoe, but rather a heads up to others who are switching from other models. I've only run 10 miles on them, and there is no noticeable discomfort. Coming from other stability shoes, these don't support in the same areas of the foot, so there is some adjustment.I ordered these in my normal shoe size and they fit well. They are cushy and give a nice spring to my step. I choose the purple and pink color combo because it was the cheapest in my size at the time, but I actually liked it in real life. The colors seem much more vibrant. If you have owned a pair of Mizuno Wave Riders, the Catalyst fits slightly more narrow in the toe box. However, I have a fairly wide foot and can still wear them comfortably. Other than that the fit seems pretty similar, and I don't really prefer one version over the other. The quality of the construction seems equivalent to the Wave Rider. These are comfortable and I am using them, but they are a tad big. Not a half size big which would have prompted me to exchange them for the smaller size, but a smidge big in the toe box area. I do not run long distances and use these for infrequent jogs, daily dog walks and some DVD workouts, so for me they are fine.Separately, I do love the turquoise/yellow colors. It makes me happy to look at my feet and see them as it reminds me of an ocean.Malísimos . Duros.Combinan con toda mi mezclilla, ultra cómodos y a un súper precioSi los busco en un almacén jamás hubiera encontrado esta gangaExcelente!Superou as minhas expectativas e recebi antes do previsto.Excellent and original productEl número era demasiado justo y tuve que devolverlos aunque el diseño es bonito y los colores son geniales. gracias.
